Respect. Why is it so important?

Respect is the base of every relationship. Everyone of us, as human beings, have the need to engage with each other, to develop ourselves and live the best life possible. Respect is an attitude of tolerance and acceptance. This means accepting a foreign thought, feeling or way of being, even if you don’t understand it, because it has the same right as yours to exist. And just because it’s foreign doesn’t mean it has to be wrong or inappropriate. Even though this looks beautiful, not everyone understand what respect is. In addition when you respect different opinions, you get to know them and you learn about them which is the most important thing, so you learn that it can be a variety of opinions without being worse than others. Now, let’s talk about social media, a physically inexistant place where people can share everything, including their opinions without the need of any filter, being anonymous without caring if the other person it’s going to read it. This is very dangerous, because everyone need to understand the difference between being honest and being impertinence.
